Hello dear Sharon,
This a Teak's leaf, a kind of tropical hardwood tree.
The leaves are large (20 to 50 cm in length and 10 to 25 cm wide).

Yes in this photo we see only a small part of the leaf. This wood is very durable and it's used in furniture making.

Clever title, clever concept. Do you have any strong feelings on that? As controlled freedom usually means: prison, whether it's a building that restrains you or a higher power than your own. As for the photograph: I love the details, they almost make you drown upon trying to take it all in.

The lines in this leaf is like a labirinth in our minds. I think in when the our thoughts were alienated. What's the free in our mind?

I'm not quite sure if I understood you correctly (my apologies), but what's free in our mind? A whole lot, I reckon. Though many people restrain themselves and their thoughts, there is just so much to explore and think about. The only person restraining your thoughts, is yourself. Apart from that, you can visit whichever though you like :)

The topic is one that evokes great emotion and provides the backdrop for civilization as a whole. The juxtaposition between the leaf and the shadow of the wire captures that struggle and reminds of its constant presence.
